Your Body Will Thank You for Watching Today’s Summit Sessions
If you’ve ever had a week (or a year) that felt like too much, today’s summit interviews are going to feel like a healing balm.
Both Dr. Zarya Rubin and Katharine Chestnut are sharing brain-based strategies and mindfulness practices that help you avoid burnout—and honestly, this is the one that hit home for me the most.
I’m not new to burnout.
I have an autoimmune disorder called Hashimoto’s Disease, and like many women, it took decades to get a diagnosis. For years, I just thought I was lazy or weak. I was always tired, constantly sick, and prone to migraines that knocked me flat. I finally found a doctor who did a proper thyroid ultrasound and confirmed what I’d already suspected: my thyroid had been damaged beyond repair.
And I had done everything “right”—I got my Hashimoto’s into remission, adjusted my diet, and took my meds religiously. But then…
Enter: Summit Stress
Just before I started building this summit, I found out I was in remission. Amazing news, right?
Well, that relief didn’t last long. The stress of organizing a 14-day, 20+ speaker online event—especially managing all the tech—pushed my body to its edge. After a migraine that lasted almost a week, my doctor told me I had to ban screens.
Except… I couldn’t.
I was still conducting expert interviews, editing videos, writing copy. I’d show up to interviews with a blanket over my lap, literally propping myself up on my desk because the Zoom screen made me feel like I was going to pass out. Then I’d crawl into a dark room and rest until the next one. After that? The flu. Then a hospital visit for a routine procedure.
I'm not telling you this to complain—but to illustrate how damaging even short-term stress can be when it's chronic. I didn’t understand this until I started diving deeper into functional medicine and nervous system regulation… and that’s exactly what Dr. Zarya and Katharine cover in today’s summit sessions.
🧠 Dr. Zarya Rubin: Burnout Isn’t Your Destiny—It’s Your Wake-Up Call
Dr. Zarya blends neurology, functional medicine, and mindfulness to look at burnout not just as “working too hard,” but as a whole-body condition. She talks about checking for root causes—like thyroid and adrenal dysfunction—but also about giving yourself permission to stop performing and start healing.
“You’re not a human doing. You’re a human being.”
“We think burnout is going to be this huge freight train that knocks us flat... but often we’re still functioning at quite a high level.”
Her mantra?
Do one thing less.
Delete it, delay it, or delegate it.
Seriously, this mindset shift alone has helped me so much in this summit season. Like yesterday, when we found out one of the videos had the wrong privacy setting. Cue emergency emails, backup plans, and fixing things on the fly. Or today—when I woke up at 4am with family chaos and weather delays, and I still had to run all 14 of my stores on top of summit duties.
Stress doesn’t stop. But our response to it can change.
🧘♀️ Katharine Chestnut: Mindfulness When Minutes Matter
Katharine knows what it’s like to juggle a high-pressure life. She’s lived through corporate stress, divorce, and caretaking roles—and out of that chaos, she built a system of simple, accessible mindfulness tools that actually work.
“You don’t have to sit cross-legged in silence to be mindful.”
“Mindfulness increases self-awareness. It helps you catch burnout early.”
“Even a bathroom meditation can reset your nervous system in a stressful moment.”
That line made me laugh—but it’s so true. I’ve now started using body scans, breath breaks, and weekly intention setting to keep myself regulated through this season. Her free ebook, Soothing Self Care When Minutes Matter, is something every woman should have on hand. Especially moms and multitaskers.
Life Doesn’t Slow Down—But You Can
I’ve learned the hard way that stress doesn’t need to be dramatic to be dangerous. I didn’t know my migraines and constant fatigue were signs of something bigger until it was too late. Now, I’m finally starting to understand how to support my nervous system before it crashes.
If you’re an entrepreneur, a caregiver, a perfectionist—or just someone who’s been pushing through every day on 50% energy—don’t miss these interviews. I honestly wish I’d seen them years ago.
👉 Today’s videos expire in 24 hours, and you don’t want to miss the insight (and free gifts!) from Katharine and Dr. Zarya.
Your body will thank you.
