A Scary Week, a Grateful Heart, and the Power of Systems

A couple of weeks ago, I went in for what I thought was a routine biopsy. The results were negative—thankfully—but something unexpected happened. During the procedure, a tiny blood vessel was nicked. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was walking around for more than ten days with internal bleeding.

By the time my body couldn’t take it anymore, I ended up in the ER. From there, things escalated quickly. I was transferred not once, but twice—three different emergency rooms in total—before I finally got a hospital room. The doctors performed surgery to clamp the vessel, and I even needed a blood transfusion.

It was scary. Honestly, one of the scariest experiences I’ve ever had. But I came home with more gratitude than fear.

Grateful for Family and Freedom

My family stepped up in the most incredible way. They took over everything while I was in the hospital, managing the house and keeping life moving while I recovered. It’s moments like these that remind me why I built my business the way I did: to have the freedom to step away when life throws something unexpected at me.

Even while I was lying in a hospital bed, my business kept running. My sales systems didn’t stop. My summit kept going. Income still came in. That’s the beauty of having systems that don’t depend on you showing up every single day.

And right now, as I’m still exhausted and focusing on healing, those same systems are working for me.
