I 8X'd My Blog Traffic With AI (And It Didn't Burn Me Out)

From 10K to 80K Blog Views: The AI Stack That Did It

Three years ago, my blog sat at 10,000 views a month. My Pinterest was limping along at 8,000. I was already a top eBay seller. I was packing orders, writing content every week, and showing up. But my reach was stuck. I couldn't figure out how to grow without burning out or hiring a team I couldn't afford.

Today, that blog is doing 80,000 views a month. Pinterest is at 60,000. And I'm still a top eBay seller but now I'm a top 4% Etsy seller as well! I still don't have a team. And — more importantly — I built new income streams on top of the original one.

This is the AI stack that did it. Not magic. Not hype. Just the specific tools, prompts, and systems that turned my content into a real traffic engine while I was busy running a business, raising a family, and pivoting from selling dolls to coaching other business owners.

The honest "before" picture

I want to start with where I was, because the numbers alone are misleading.

In 2022, I had a doll repair business I'd built by hand over more than two decades. I was a top eBay seller, and I'd written a #1 New Release book on Amazon. My blog had been around since 2011 — that's 13 years of writing by the time I really leaned into AI. And I just hit top 4% on Etsy this year — that came later, after the traffic engine the blog and Pinterest had already become started feeding the shop.

So I wasn't a beginner. I had the SEO basics. I had the consistency. I had a clear niche and a real audience.

What I didn't have was hours.

I was doing the writing, the shipping, the customer service, the product photography, the email, the social media, and trying to figure out my next move as a business. My blog was getting maybe one post a week. My Pinterest was getting maybe five pins a week. And the traffic was stagnant because the output was stagnant.

If you're in a similar place — the content is decent but the volume isn't there, the SEO is okay but the keywords aren't landing, the Pinterest is set up but the reach is flat — this story is for you.

The "AI tipping point" wasn't a tool. It was a workflow.

When AI tools started getting genuinely useful in late 2022 and 2023, I tried them the way most people do. I asked for help with a draft. I rewrote what it gave me. I got a little faster and felt a little underwhelmed.

Then I stopped treating AI like a vending machine and started treating it like a workflow.

The change wasn't the tool. The change was this: I gave AI a job description, not a task. Instead of "write me a blog post," I gave it "here's my keyword cluster, here's my audience, here's the structure I want, here are the three hooks I want you to test, here are the on-page SEO rules — now draft."

I uploaded my stats and asked it to help me produce more of what was already working. I asked it what I could let go of.

When I started running AI as part of a system — not a one-off — the output changed. I went from one blog post a week to three to four. I went from five pins a week to 35. The traffic followed.

The blog stack that took me from 10K to 80K

Here's exactly what AI does in my blog workflow today.

1. Keyword and topic research. I used to spend two hours hunting for blog topics that fit my niche and had real search demand. Now I feed AI my seed topic and ask it to generate twenty long-tail keyword ideas, grouped by search intent. Then I pick the ones that match what my audience is actually searching for. This takes fifteen minutes instead of two hours.

2. Outlines and briefs. Before I write a single word, I have AI build a structured outline with H2s, the questions I need to answer, the internal links I should add, and the meta description. The outline becomes the contract for the post. I never skip this step.

3. First drafts and rough copy. I don't take AI drafts verbatim. But I use them to get from blank page to seventy percent done in twenty minutes instead of three hours. I rewrite in my own voice. I add my stories. I cut the parts that sound generic. By the time I finish, it sounds like me — because the editing pass is mine.

4. SEO optimization. AI checks my on-page SEO as I write. It catches keyword gaps, suggests related terms I missed, flags where my H2s don't match search intent, and rewrites my meta description for click-through. This is the single biggest reason my organic traffic started climbing.

5. Repurposing. Every blog post becomes a Pinterest pin, three Instagram captions, an email, and a thread. AI handles the formatting shift. I just edit.

5. Analysis. I link my social media sites to my AI marketing assistant so it can see exactly what's working. I upload screenshots of my stats from accounts that can't be linked yet. I ask AI to tell me exactly why certain posts take off and others don't. Then I ask it to create more posts with those attributes for my weekly theme. I also upload other people's posts that are doing well. I don't copy them; I ask it to clarify why those posts are successful and use the answers to create posts with the same engagement triggers for my audience.

The Pinterest stack that took me from 8K to 60K

Pinterest was a different problem. I had the account, the boards, the SEO basics. What I didn't have was volume. You can't grow a Pinterest account on five pins a week.

1. Pin design at scale. AI image tools generate the background, layout, and text variations for my pins. I spend less than two minutes per pin now instead of twenty. I can test ten hooks on the same post instead of one.

2. Pin descriptions that match search. Pinterest is a search engine. The pin description is what gets you found. AI writes the descriptions using my target keywords and natural language variations. I review and tweak, but I'm starting from eighty percent instead of zero.

3. Scheduling and cadence. I batch a month of pins in one afternoon. AI handles the rotation logic so I'm not spamming the same board. Twenty pins a week goes out automatically while I run the rest of the business.

The number that surprised me: my Pinterest reach didn't just grow steadily — it 8X'd in less than a year once I could sustain the volume. Volume is the entire game on Pinterest, and AI is what made the volume possible.

The real win: time, productivity, income streams

Here's the part I want to slow down on, because traffic is the easy metric to talk about. It's not the part that mattered most.

Time saved. I used to spend twenty-plus hours a week on content. Now it's around eight. That's twelve extra hours back. Twelve hours I now spend on the parts of my business I actually want to grow.

Productivity unlocked. More content didn't just mean more traffic. It meant I could launch a new product line, host a summit, run a challenge, and build a coaching program — all while still packing doll orders every day. AI didn't replace my judgment. It bought me back the hours to use my judgment on the work that matters.

Multiple income streams. This is the line I care about most. My income used to be almost entirely one thing — doll shop sales on Etsy and eBay. Today, the same blog traffic that took me from 10K to 80K views is also driving leads for digital products, group coaching, and summits. Same audience. Same traffic. New offers layered on top.

This is what I call the Simple Sales Ecosystem — a sales platform (Etsy, eBay, or another commercial marketplace) plus long-form content (blog) plus Pinterest plus email. When those four pieces work together, the traffic compounds, the offers stack, and the business stops being dependent on a single income source.

AI is what made the four pieces actually work together for me. Before, I was running them as four separate jobs. Now they run as one system.

What I'm talking about at The AI Tipping Point Summit

I'm telling this story on stage at The AI Tipping Point Summit, August 10–14, hosted by Steve Werner. It's a free, 5-day virtual summit with 30+ entrepreneurs, coaches, and experts sharing the AI tools, tactics, and systems they're actually using right now.

No hype. No theory. Just real implementation.

My session is called "The Simple Sales System That Keeps Working Even When You're Not Online." I'm going to walk through exactly how I built the four-piece Simple Sales Ecosystem, how AI lets me run it without a team, and how you can adapt it for your own business — whether you sell products, services, or digital offers.

If you're tired of being the bottleneck in your own business — if you want a sales system that compounds instead of one that resets every time you take a day off — this is the session for you.

Your free gift

When you watch my session you'll also get my free gift — "9 AI Prompts That Instantly Simplify Your Business." These are the exact prompts I use every week to research, draft, repurpose, and optimize content. They are the difference between "I tried AI once" and "AI is part of how my business runs."

I built them for my own workflow first. They are the ones that survived.

See you at the summit.
