Sometimes Everything Blooms at Once

This week has been a funny mix of excitement and real life over here.

First, I managed to catch a cold right before my summit starts on Monday. Perfect timing, right? So I’ve been trying to rest as much as possible and keep things calm around the house.

The good news is that spring has arrived in full force.

The flowers in the garden are blooming, and yesterday I went outside with my clippers and made big bouquets for the house. There’s something about bringing fresh flowers inside that instantly changes the whole mood of a room. My long-term goal is to have cut flowers from my garden all year round, and I’m getting closer to making that happen.

Right now it feels like everything decided to bloom at once.

Meanwhile my husband and son have been trying out the new electric mower they just bought, and I have to admit the yard looks amazing. There’s something satisfying about seeing everything neat and green again after winter.

My son also had his first spring track meet this week. It was almost 85 degrees, which made the 3200 meter run pretty brutal, but his team won and he placed third, so we were all pretty proud of him.

Now the forecast says the temperature might drop into the 20s next week, so I’m crossing my fingers my flowers and blueberry bushes don’t get zapped.

Gardening always feels a little like entrepreneurship to me.

You plant things.
You nurture them.
You try to protect them from storms and cold snaps.

And sometimes you just cross your fingers and hope everything grows the way you imagined.

But every once in a while there’s a moment when it all comes together.

The flowers bloom.
The grass turns green again.
Things start moving forward.

I had one of those moments this week during a coaching session.

A new client and I decided to trade coaching since we both work in different niches. We ended up having one of those conversations where both people walk away with pages of notes and a lot of clarity.

Those kinds of conversations remind me how powerful it can be to hear the right idea at the right moment.

Sometimes you already have the skills, the experience, and the ideas… you just need someone to help you see the next step clearly.

That’s actually the idea behind the Online Income Playbook Summit, which starts on March 16.

Over the course of the week, different experts will be sharing simple strategies for turning skills and ideas into real online income. The sessions are free to watch during the event, and you can join from home at your own pace.

In the meantime, I’m going to keep resting, drinking tea, and enjoying the flowers while they last.

And hoping the temperature doesn’t drop low enough to freeze everything next week.

Sometimes everything blooms at once… and sometimes you just try to appreciate it while it’s here.
