A Cooling Spray for Midlife Warm-Ups 🌿
One of the simplest things I keep on hand — especially during midlife — is a light, refreshing cooling spray. This isn’t about “fixing” anything. It’s just a gentle, supportive ritual that helps your body feel a little more comfortable when it suddenly decides to turn up the internal thermostat.
This spray is especially nice for the back of the neck, wrists, or a light mist across the chest or arms.
Cooling Spray Recipe
In a small spray bottle, combine:
1 part witch hazel
3 parts water
10 drops Peppermint
5 drops Clary Sage
5 drops Jasmine
Shake gently before each use.
Peppermint gives that immediate cooling sensation, while clary sage and jasmine add a grounding, softly supportive note that many women love during hormonal shifts. The scent is light, feminine, and refreshing — not overpowering.
Tip: Always avoid spraying directly on the face or near the eyes, and do a small patch test if you’re new to topical oils.
A Simple Wake-Up Diffuser Blend for Mornings ☀️
If mornings feel foggy, sluggish, or hard to get moving, a wake-up diffuser blend can help set the tone for the day — without relying on more caffeine.
This is one of my favorite blends to diffuse while getting ready in the morning or while making breakfast.
Wake-Up Diffuser Blend
Add the following to your diffuser:
8 drops Awaken
8 drops Lemon
5 drops En-R-Gee
This blend is bright, clean, and energizing without feeling harsh. Lemon adds clarity and freshness, Awaken brings an uplifting emotional tone, and En-R-Gee gives that gentle “let’s go” feeling — especially helpful if mornings aren’t your favorite time of day.
You can diffuse this for 30–60 minutes in the morning, then switch to something softer or more grounding later in the day.
A Gentle New Year Diffuser Blend
I don’t approach the new year with big resolutions or rigid goals anymore. Instead, I like to create an atmosphere — something that quietly supports clarity, steadiness, and intention as the days unfold.
One of my favorite ways to do that is with a diffuser blend that feels grounding and expansive at the same time.
