I recently had the honor of being a guest on The Becky Beach Show — and wow, what a conversation! Becky and I went deep into my 25-year journey as a work-from-home entrepreneur, how I accidentally started a doll repair empire, and why embracing AI has become a game-changer for my business and lifestyle. It all started back in 1998. My husband had a serious work injury while I was pregnant with our first child. Suddenly, we were down to one income — and it wasn’t enough. With no paid maternity leave and bills piling up, I knew I had to get creative. I began freelancing as a writer and illustrator, then taught myself to code so I could sell on the (brand-new!) platform called eBay.

I tried everything — even selling my fine art — but nothing really clicked until I stumbled upon a bag of broken vintage dolls that belonged to my mom. I restored them as a gift… and the rest is history. Broken dolls turned into a full-blown doll hospital, and eventually, a profitable business that’s allowed me to stay home with my kids for over two decades.

Now I teach others how to do the same. Whether it’s doll repair, selling on Etsy or eBay, creating digital products, or building passive income with AI — I’m passionate about helping women create financial freedom on their own terms.
