If You’re Waiting for a Sign to Start… This Is It
When I look back at the early years of my business, I can see every moment where I almost didn’t start.
There were so many evenings when the kids were little and the house was loud, and I’d tell myself,
“Once things calm down… then I’ll begin.”
But things never calmed down.
Life never politely moved out of the way.
Instead, I learned something that changed everything for me:
Your business doesn’t start when life gets easier.
Your business starts when you decide it matters.
And that decision?
It always happens in a small moment — usually when no one’s watching.
For me, it happened at my kitchen table around 10 PM, years before I owned a lake house or a mountain cabin or had a business that supported my lifestyle. I was exhausted, surrounded by dishes and half-finished homework projects and the hum of a dishwasher that was older than my marriage.
But somewhere in the middle of all that, I realized something:
No one was coming to start the life I wanted for me.
Not a mentor.
Not a course.
Not a magical burst of motivation.
It was always going to come down to me choosing to begin.
And that’s when everything shifted.
**Starting Isn’t Hard.
Starting Is Confronting.**
Most women don’t struggle with “how to start.”
They struggle with the truth that starting asks them to change... and change asks us to confront what we’ve been avoiding.
Starting forces you to decide:
Does my future matter more than my comfort?
Am I willing to be a beginner long enough to become excellent?
Am I okay with my life staying exactly the same — for another month, another year, another season?
Because starting is a choice.
And not starting is also a choice.
One feels empowering.
The other… slowly wears you down.
I talk to women every week who tell me they want to build an online income, grow their business, replace their job, or finally create something of their own…
But they’re living the same year on repeat.
Not because they’re incapable — they’re some of the smartest women I’ve ever met — but because clarity is missing.
And clarity is the thing that makes starting feel simple instead of overwhelming.
The 3 Real Reasons You Haven’t Started Yet
Let’s take the shame out of this.
These are the reasons women stay stuck — and none of them mean anything negative about you.
1. You think you need more time.
You don’t.
You need clarity... because clarity turns 20 minutes into progress.
2. You think you need more confidence.
You don’t.
Confidence is a result of taking imperfect action, not a prerequisite.
3. You think you need a perfect plan.
You really don’t.
You need a simple path: one that doesn’t pull you in 16 directions at once.
This is exactly why I brought together more than 20 experts for the Online Income Playbook Summit…
Because women don’t need more noise.
They need direction.
