Promising Prompts to Take Your Social Media to the Next Level

I just finished scheduling my social media posts through the first week of December, and it’s such a relief! With the news getting worse by the hour since we decided to sell our country to Elon Musk, I want to be on the internet and social as little as possible before I have a stroke.

I was going to tell you about this new social media strategy anyway and I figure now’s a good time, especially if you’re feeling like I am. A few weeks ago my business coach, Maria, came up with a very promising AI prompt to generate fresh ideas for social media. I’ve tried this on Chat GPT and Meta AI and it’s been pretty successful.

My Pinterest reach has been flagging lately so I used that account to test this new prompt. After one week I’ve seen improvement in all but one metric and I feel confident that one will pick up because I went ahead and scheduled three more weeks. Now, a note about scheduling content… scheduled content doesn’t get as much engagement as fresh posted content, particularly on Instagram and YouTube. Reels especially lose views and comments when they’re scheduled.

To make it easier to keep up your posting schedule you will want to make a bunch of drafts you can post as close as possible to the same time each day or week or whatever your schedule is. Obviously the more you post the more opportunity you have to attract new views and ultimately, customers, but you shouldn’t wear yourself out. Decide on a schedule you can manage and make sure you meet it consistently.

I post 3 reels a day on my new business instagram, which I am still growing. Then I post around 7 stories all at once as close as possible to the same time each day after the previous day’s stories have expired. Then I post one Reel and a set of stories on my legacy Instagram account. During the week I post them manually but on the weekends I schedule them to post at 7am, 12:30 pm, and 9pm on my new account. They don’t get as much reach but they get enough because of the consistency. I use Instagram’s scheduler when I can (it’s very buggy). I post on Pinterest at least 5 times a day and often more. I tell you all about how I do this in much less time than you probably think (no more than 30 minutes a day) in my Lazy Content GuideGet it here for free.

My strategy has been very successful. I started my new business Instagram account at the end of July and I have more than 1000 followers and over 40K reach. My Pinterest reach is over 32K right now and I have just under 3K followers. My content is designed to send people to my shops, sales funnels, and get them to sign up for my email list. It brings in money all the time, whether I am working and posting or not, no matter where I am.

So, on to the AI prompt. First you want to describe your ideal customer and your offer (whatever you’re selling or the service you provide) in detail. Make sure to include the industry you’re working in. Then ask the AI to create 30 post ideas for you with hooks and visuals and, if desired, a caption with a call-to-action. Tell the AI you want posts that are unusual and amazing, almost shocking, to stop people from scrolling away. Make sure to ask the AI to take inspiration from other niches outside your industry.

I did this for my Digital Profits Genius course and I got great results taken from posts in the luxury beauty, fitness, cooking, real estate, even sleep hacks industries. When you use other industries for your post inspirations your content no longer blends in with every other person in your niche. Your customers stop scrolling because you don’t look like every other account in their feed. I discovered my business coach account started to grow really rapidly when I stopped using the same faceless videos and informational carousels as all the other coaches and digital marketers and started posting mostly from the self-help, manifestation, and mindset niches. You will have to use trial and error to see what your audience responds to best.

Now I am about to redo the prompt for my doll repair and online shop niches to see if I can grow. My reach on my old doll account is only around 6K even though I have 1000 more followers than my new account. I am clearly not breaking out of my niche enough to attract new followers.

I’ll post about it in a few weeks and you try it too. Please send me a note (to ateliermandaline@gmail.com) and let me know know how it went.
