From Hoping for One Sale a Day to Making Sales While I’m Away

We just got back from our 10 day vacation. We spent Easter at our mountain cabin and then headed Down East to visit family and go to the beach. I didn't even check my email the whole time... and my Etsy sales rose 433% year over year! Want to find out how? Watch the video here.

When I left town for 10 days, I did not leave with a plan to be “on.”

I was not planning to sit around checking email, refreshing my shops, fiddling with listings, or worrying over whether sales were coming in while I was gone. Other than a quick stop home in the middle of our vacation to do laundry and ship orders, I was away… and life kept moving.

So did the sales.

That still feels a little surreal to say, because there was a time when I wanted something much smaller. I remember when my goal was simply to make one sale a day. Just one.

At the time, that felt big. Almost far away. I wanted proof that sales could come in consistently… that I was not just throwing things at the wall and hoping. One sale a day felt like the kind of stability that would mean I was finally doing something right.

Now, it is actually rare for me not to have sales in a day. Usually there is more than one. And this past week, while I was away, my Etsy sales were up 433% year over year.

That is not because I was working harder while I was gone. It is not because I was posting constantly or glued to my phone. It is because over time, I built something that keeps working even when I step away.

That is what I call my Simple Sales Ecosystem.

It is the system I use to bring in new leads, turn those leads into buyers, and then continue nurturing buyers so they become repeat buyers and, in many cases, higher-ticket buyers too.

This is the part that matters most to me now… I spend so much less time in my business than I used to.

I am not in my stores as much.
I am not listing as much.
I am not constantly tweaking things.
I am not spending all day trying to force sales.

And honestly, that is one of the biggest signs to me that what I have built is working.

Because years ago, I thought success would probably look like being more and more busy. More effort. More hours. More time online. But what has actually happened is almost the opposite. The better my systems have gotten, the less I have had to hover. The more my ecosystem has taken over the job of attracting, nurturing, and converting, the less I have had to do manually.

That does not mean I do nothing. It means I am no longer depending on constant hustle to keep the wheels turning.

If you are in that place where you feel like you have to post every day, check everything all the time, constantly create, constantly push, constantly chase… I just want you to know there is another way.

That is exactly why I recorded a training recently on my Simple Sales Ecosystem and the automations I use to support it. In it, I walk through the pieces that help me create ongoing sales without having to live online.

If your goal is to build a business that keeps working even while you are living your life, I think it will give you a lot to think about.

Because the truth is, I did not build this overnight. But I did build it.

And if you are where I once was — hoping for that first consistent sale each day, wondering whether this can really become something steady — I want you to know that it can. That old goal of “just one sale a day” used to feel almost out of reach. Now I get to look back and realize how far things have come.

That is a really beautiful feeling.

And it is exactly why I want to teach this.
