 What if you could start a business for free? It sounds too good to be true, right? But guess what? It isn’t.

I am going to give you a step-by-step plan to start generating income without spending a dime. I currently follow this exact process to make money.

So, how do you do it? First of all, you need to find a print-on-demand or affiliate product or service to sell.

Good at art and design (or just good at thinking up funny sayings for t-shirts and mugs)? Sign up for a free account on Canva.com. Create artwork or designs to print on products. Then sign up for a print-on-demand drop shipping site like Printful or Redbubble. Upload your designs to the site or sites and create your products. Link them to your free eBay seller account if you’re using a site like Printful. Redbubble has its own sales site so all you need to to is promote it.

Good at writing? Sign up for Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). Write your book and follow the instructions on the site to make it into a paperback, hardcover, and/or eBook. Publish it for sale on Amazon. They will print and ship the books when they sell and you just collect the money.

Good at social media? Find a free affiliate program. This should be for a company you use and like. Say you love Lego for example. Go to their website and scroll to the bottom of the screen. You will see a link that says you can sign up to be an affiliate. You can also search the internet for the company you want and “affiliate”. Some places make you pay to be an affiliate but others let you apply for free. If you are approved you will get a commission when someone buys from the company using your link.


Second, create a webinar sale funnel to promote your business or product. A sales funnel is a marketing tool that offers something to get people (leads) to give you their email addresses so you can market to them. The “lead magnet” is whatever compels them to give you their information. It can be a coupon, a free report, an eBook, but in this case it’s going to be a free webinar.

Next, film your webinar. Think of all the reasons someone should buy your service or product and make a video of yourself talking about it and demonstrating it. In the Lego example, you could show your favorite sets or bricks and demonstrate how you built something really cool. Or maybe if your kid is into building you could show how they play quietly for hours with the bricks. The video doesn’t need to be fancy; you can film it on your phone. Upload your video to a free host, like YouTube. You can also do your webinar live on a site like Facebook or Zoom. Then use the video from the platform to load into your host site.

Paste the link to your video into the webinar funnel (don’t worry; there is training included to show you how to do this). Publish your funnel.

Finally, promote your sales funnel. Put the link everywhere: all your social media profiles, on your blog, create Pinterest pins with the link. Create a Facebook page and promote it there. Your webinar can play over and over again (evergreen) or just when you schedule it. If you set it up to play constantly the video recordings will sell your product even while you sleep.

Set up a free email account with a service provider like Mail Chimp and send automated emails to the people who sign up for the webinar, retargeting them if they don’t buy or suggesting other products if they do buy. My preferred email service provider is flodesk. Try it free for a month and then get 50% off your first year when you sign up with my link.

That’s it! You will have money coming in before you know it! In the unlikely event you haven’t made any sales in 25 days or so then cancel the free ClickFunnels and flodesk trials. Then look for a ore desirable product to sell. If your product is good and well-presented and promoted you should start getting sales within the first few days if you’re running your webinar constantly.

If your sales have been good, re-invest the profits into running ads to your webinar so even more people see it.
